This year’s Home and Garden show will run Thursday, March 24 to Sunday, March 27 at the Edmonton Expo Centre with more than 400 exhibitors showcasing innovative products, the latest trends in interior design, plus home and garden related services.
As always, the show will feature inspirational displays, an interactive marketplace and live stage presentations featuring celebrity experts and local professionals.
Guest appearances on the Home and Garden Show’s Main Stage include Dave Kenney and Joey Fletcher, who are HGTV Canada’s The Brolaws; interior design expert Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault of Cityline; and Christina Dennis of the DIY Mommy.
The BroLaws, who are real-life brothers-in-law (who actually like each other) are best known from HGTV shows such as Family Home Overhaul, Decked Out, Disaster Decks, Custom Built and Home to Win. They are regular home and garden go-to-experts on CITY-TV’s Cityline as is Perrault, their fellow co-presenter.

Home and Garden Show manager Kristy Cairns says the bubbly Perrault has a gift for creating designs that fuse ingenuity, whimsy and quality workmanship on a “frugalista” budget.
“We continue to bring her back because she’s so much fun and so engaging. She really draws people in,” she says.
“Leigh-Ann explains how you can take items around the home that you already have or that you can find second-hand to recreate an entire space without breaking the bank.”
Perrault joined Cityline in 2006 and began a bricks and mortar/online retail store called Hue La La in 2013. Her savvy DIY advice has garnered a large social media following, including 23,000-plus Instagram fans.
Dennis, the DIY Mommy, has 1.2 million YouTube followers alone and returns with DIY advice and budget decorating ideas for the home, holiday trailer or vacation home. She and Perrault will discuss a joint project to make over a room in the Fireside Lounge at the 116-year-old YWCA Camp Yowochas. The camp, located 45 minutes outside of Edmonton, will be treated to a design refresh of the space used during its summer camps, adult retreats and healing retreats in partnership with Indigenous groups.

The trending tiny house/living on the road phenomenon will be explored in detail on the Main Stage by the VanLife panel of local experts. The panel will share tips on how to live minimalisticaly while travelling, how to maximize space and how to create super efficient tiny spaces, like a chef-inspired kitchen, in a van or RV.
Edmonton designers Jennifer Hughes of the Turquoise Chair and Jennifer Woch of the House of J will also inject local flavour into this year’s show.
