Would you say that it’s your power perfume? How does the fragrance make you feel?

I’m very big on perfume. Personally, I feel very weird when I leave the house without putting it on. I even carry mini perfumes in my purse at all times. So personally I need perfumes. But Gucci Guilty, it’s a very strong scent and it’s kind of hard to forget, and those are usually the scents that I like.

What is one beauty rule that you swear by?

To drink water, to put on a cream that works for you, and try not to smoke cigarettes. I think it’s that simple as that. And then to exercise, which is something I need to work on. I wish I was one of those people that love it, but unfortunately, I’m not.

What has been your biggest beauty or fashion fail?

Oh man, my biggest beauty fail. I mean, I was never that girl that plucked her eyebrows or cut bangs. I feel like my older sister made that mistake, so I learned what not to do. When I was a teenager, I had awkward fashion sense sometimes. I was exploring it, and the only difference was that I was starting to work in the industry, so I would go to these film festivals and some of the things that I was wearing…I thought was really cool, but it wasn’t. And looking back, I’m happy that I have those photos, because they’re hilarious, but I’m also like, “How could I wear that? Oh my God, that’s so embarrassing.” But it’s kind of brilliant.

You travel constantly. Which city or country or region gives you the greatest beauty inspiration?

Italy, because it’s so old. It’s so artistic, it’s so old. But also certain parts of America, like you go to Montana or Wyoming, and it’s so beautiful and massive, but it’s a completely different kind of beauty. But for me, Italy is my favorite country. It’s just so, so beautiful.

Who are the women who inspire you the most right now?

It’s such a hard question to answer, because there’s so many women that inspire me for completely different reasons. I mean, the women that are in my day-to-day life just inspire me, and I always try to be around people that bring the best version of myself. One person that has been a great inspiration throughout my life, my grandmother was definitely the matriarch of the family.

If you could change one thing about beauty perceptions either on social media or in Hollywood, what would that be?

What I would like to change in society right now is, even though sometimes people say that they’re representing something, you can sense the lack of purity, in a way. Anything’s really beautiful if it comes from a pure place. I hope in the future that purity is going to be represented in a real way, in a genuine way that’s not fake social media.
