A.M. NEW INFORMATION TONIGHT AS DEPUTIES SWARM A HOME IN ROCKLEDGE. INVESTIGATORS SAY THEY FOUND POSSIBLE ILLEGAL GUN MAKING AND HAZARDOUS MATERIALS. WESH GAIL PASCHALL-BROWN IS IN ROCKLEDGE TONIGHT WITH MORE ON THE MAN ARRESTED IN THIS CASE. POLICE. THE BUREAU OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO AND FIREARMS, AS WELL AS THE SHERIFF’S BOMB SQUAD, WERE ALL OUT AT THE HOUSE AND AT ONE POINT, THE PUBLIC WAS ASKED TO AVOID THE AREA. HERE’S WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR. PARIS EVANS REACTION TO NEWS THAT ROCKLEDGE POLICE WERE CONDUCTING AN INVESTIGATION AT 844 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, AND FOUND MORE THAN EXPECTED THEY WERE ISSUING A WARRANT, BUT HAD TO CALL IN THE BOMB SQUAD IN REFERENCE TO POSSIBLE ILLEGAL FIREARM MANUFACTURING AND HAZARDOUS MATERIALS INSIDE THE HOME. THE BOMB UNIT ALCOHOL, TOBACCO AND FIREARMS, AS WELL AS HAZMAT WERE ALL ON THE SCENE. AGENTS COLLECTED BAGS AND BAGS OF EVIDENCE. PLUS, THIS THING, WHICH APPEARED AS THOUGH IT HAD WEIGHTS AND MEASURES ON IT. RESIDENTS IN THE ROCKLEDGE NEIGHBORHOOD ARE BAFFLED, INCLUDING JANE ETS, WHO HASN’T LIVED HERE VERY LONG. I’VE ONLY BEEN HERE FOR SIX MONTHS, BUT IT’S A VERY QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD, AND SO I’M REALLY SURPRISED THAT THERE WAS ANY KIND OF, YOU KNOW, POTENTIAL ACTIVITY LIKE THAT GOING ON. POLICE SAY PATRICK CARMAN WAS ARRESTED. WE ARE STILL AWAITING THE SPECIFIC CHARGES AS THE INVESTIGATION CONTINUES. OH, GOSH.
