‘A collected home is one that feels distinct and unforced,’ interior designer Jeremiah Brent muses. ‘When you look around, you have a better understanding of who the person is and what they care about.’
For his newly released collection for Crate & Barrel, aptly titled The Collected Home, Jeremiah explored the idea of interiors as deeply personal spaces that are layered, curated, and, of course, collected. The collection itself isn’t centered on a specific interior design trend – rather, it’s an amalgamation of references, inspirations, and details that tell a story.
‘These pieces were designed to evoke the feeling of a collection curated over decades,’ Jeremiah explains. ‘There’s a variety of historic references from around the world mixed with conflicting design themes that, when paired, will create spaces that feel completely original.’

This series is brimming with all sorts of home decor, from large couches and accent chairs to curtains, rugs, and even vases. Aside from the themes of collection and curation, The Collected Home also embraces contrast in interior design. That idea is evident in the pieces themselves, like the distinct combination of materials on the Rhea Pouf, as well as the collection’s overall unique blend of styles and references.
‘The Collected Home was designed to feel unexpected – without a singular design theme, other than the deliberate juxtaposition of contrasting references,’ Jeremiah tells me. ‘My goal was to build a collection that inspires a sense of creativity and invites customers to embrace possibilities that extend beyond the trends of today.’

And according to Jeremiah, there is no specific way to incorporate this collection in your home. ‘As I worked with the Crate & Barrel team, our collaborative goal was to ensure there would be countless different ways to interpret the collection,’ Jeremiah says. ‘Every concept, material, and silhouette was put to the test to guarantee versatility in function and aesthetic.’
By themselves, these pieces are statement-makers. They can enhance the atmosphere of the homes in which they’re added. But together, this collection sings with rich character and unique style in a way that feels naturally harmonious.

As for his favorite pieces, Jeremiah is drawn to that which can enhance the dining room. ‘When I think about my own home, some of our most core family memories have taken place around the dining room table,’ he explains. ‘Whether the Solara Dining Table, the Neue Dining Chairs, or the Giaco Vessels layered as a centerpiece are right for you, I love the idea of this collection being woven into customers’ everyday memories and traditions for years to come.’
