The Surprising Results of My 2025 Eufy 11S MAX Robot Vacuum Test

As much as I’d love to tell you that my home is always spotless, I live with two teenagers, a husband, and a dog, so… that ship has sailed. Between shoes on the floor and dishes in the sink, there’s always plenty to clean. I also hold the unhelpful opinion that no one can clean my house better than I can. So, why am I telling you this?

Because when robot vacuums first hit the market (almost 30 years ago!), I probably rolled my eyes and muttered something about “technology for technology’s sake.” The 21st-century version of myself, however, has had enough of going it alone. Every week, there’s enough dog hair on my floor to make a whole new dog, so I finally figured that if a robot vacuum could help tame the madness, it was time high time to give one a chance.

Keep reading for why I picked the Eufy 11S MAX, how I tested it, and the results. (Spoiler alert: I’m sold.)

How I Picked It

When I finally decided to try a robot vacuum cleaner, I wanted to keep it simple. I didn’t want it to mop, nor did I want to download yet another app or program anything—much less get alerts on my phone. I just wanted to push a button and have something vacuum my floors for me.

Another reason why I picked this one, honestly, is the price. Given that the cost of robot vacuums can top $1,000—and given my skepticism—I wanted to start on the more affordable end.

As I perused Amazon for options, the Eufy 11S MAX fit the bill.

How I Tested It

I’ve been using the 11S MAX a few days a week for the last month. I have a semi-open floor plan between my living room, dining room, and kitchen, with a mix of hardwoods, stone tile, and one low-pile rug. To vacuum, I turn on the unit, push start on the remote, and stay out of its way.

Something that seems obvious, but needs to be said: It’s still just a vacuum. So during my test, I still removed shoes and backpacks from the floor before running it. (Yes, the Eufy will vacuum around these things, but again, I have standards!)

It’s a good idea to make sure that cords are tucked away, too. On the first run, I also flipped my dining room chairs onto the table, so it would be easier to vacuum underneath. Since then, I’ve just been moving two end chairs out of the way so the vac doesn’t get stuck.

How It Performed

Most Importantly, It Cleans

I was skeptical about any robot vacuum’s ability to meet my standard of clean, but this Eufy has me convinced. My 11S MAX covers about 500 square feet, picking up dirt, dust bunnies, and so much dog hair. Plus, because it’s less than three inches tall, it has no problem fitting under my entry table, coffee table, and dining room sideboard.

At less than three inches tall, the 11S MAX easily cleans under my dining room sideboard.

The full dust bin (yuck). Thanks for the assist, little robot. Also, that filter can easily be rinsed between cleanings.

It Navigates Itself

This Eufy uses bounce technology to navigate, which means it moves straight until it bumps into something—at which point it turns to avoid it. The result is a zig-zag pattern that, at first, didn’t seem like it was going to accomplish anything. But once I started trusting the process (i.e. stopped following it around and fretting everything it “missed”), I realized that there’s a method to its madness.

It has no problem moving from the hardwood to the rug, it runs along my baseboards and gets into corners, and it actually spins around furniture legs for a thorough clean.

Eventually, it picks up everything. It even knows to turn around instead of falling down a step.

It Has an Impressive Battery

The battery life on this Eufy really surprised me. After letting it charge fully, I turned it on and let it run. An hour and a half later, it was still going strong. The manufacturer says that the 11S MAX can run up to 100 minutes on a single charge, and I believe it.

It’s Quiet

Per the brand, this Eufy runs at about 55 decibels, which is moderately quiet. I don’t find the noise annoying at all. I can hear it, but it quickly became background noise that’s easy for me to ignore.

It’s Not Complicated

The included remote control handles everything I need, sparing me from having to depend on WiFi, Bluetooth, or an app. It lets me start the vac, adjust the intensity, and stop the run. If I wanted to, I could even schedule a daily cleaning time or have it only run along the edges of a room.

My favorite button is the one that returns the vacuum to its charging base, but I don’t always need it! One of the best things about the 11S MAX is that when its battery gets low, it returns itself to the charging dock.

Is the Eufy 11S MAX Robot Vacuum Worth It?

Coming from a skeptic who has yet to try pricier robot vacuums with more bells and whistles, yes. In fact, I have no urge to try anything fancier than my Eufy at this point—that’s how much it impressed me.

It’s easy to set up, use, and clean—and it even comes with an extra filter and spinning sweeper attachment. Best of all, it does what it says it will do: vacuum your floors. (If you’re looking for a model that maps your house, though, you might want to consider a more advanced option.)

Like I said, I’m very picky about what I consider clean, and when I saw my debris-free floors after the first time I used it, I thought, “Wow. That little vac actually did it.”
